Resalta completes new lighting project for Thrace Ipoma in Bulgaria

Resalta has completed its latest industrial lighting project for Thrace Ipoma in Sofia, Bulgaria. Thrace Ipoma, part of the Thrace group, is a leader in manufacturing packaging solutions in two segments, injection moulding and thermoforming production, as well as big bags. With over 200 employees, Thrace Ipoma yearly produces over 8,000 tons of polymer for industrial, fmcg and other uses.

In order to optimize energy efficiency, Thrace Ipoma decided to undergo a lighting renovation. It was important for the packaging producer to have the project realized in a short time frame, while avoiding any initial investment. The client decided to partner with Resalta, which financed the whole project, carried out equipment installations and will provide operations and maintenance services for the duration of the contract. Resalta replaced 236 metal halide luminaires with energy efficient LED luminaires, thus reducing energy consumption for lighting by 73% annually. The energy savings will also result in an annual reduction of 224 tons of CO2 emissions. Maintenance costs are also reduced by 71%, and Resalta covers all risks for the three year period of the contract.

Lighting renovations are a straightforward and quick way to improve efficiency and generate savings: LED lighting is energy efficient because it consumes less electricity than metal halide alternatives, with a longer life cycle. Moreover, it significantly improves the quality and intensity of lighting, providing more favorable conditions for staff and clients at Thrace Ipoma.

Resalta is the leading independent energy services provider in SEE and has realized over 180 projects for over 120 clients. A dynamic, fast-growing company, Resalta works with both public and private clients to finance, design and implement projects that reduce energy consumption, lower CO2 emissions and promote sustainability while generating cost savings. Besides being present in Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia, Resalta has expanded to the Czech Republic, Italy and Poland as well, offering the same impeccable quality of service throughout Central and Southeastern Europe.
