Resalta to renovate lighting for aluminium giant Impol in Šibenik

Resalta will renovate the lighting system for Impol TLM, a subsidiary of the Slovenian group Impol, at its production halls in Šibenik, Croatia. Impol is one of the largest producers of aluminium in the region, with facilities in Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, exporting aluminium products around the world.

As a metal industry leader, Impol values sustainability and environmental protection. As such, it has contracted Resalta to undertake a lighting renovation at its production halls in Šibenik, Croatia, that will reduce electricity consumption as well as CO2 emissions by improving efficiency.

A total of 560 existing luminaires will be replaced with 395 new LED luminaires in 5 production halls at the Šibenik site. By repositioning lights more optimally, Resalta will bring lux levels in accordance to international standards and thus be able to reduce the number of installed luminaires while improving luminosity. The LED luminaires that will be installed are designed to withstand higher than normal temperatures that are common in some areas of the metal production plant.

This solution will save Impol TLM 1,086 MWh of electric energy each year, reducing CO2 emissions by 523 tons. Moreover, through improved luminosity, Impol TLM staff will benefit from better working conditions.
