Two public healthcare energy projects kick off in Croatia

Both projects focus on modernising ageing infrastructure to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and create better indoor environments for staff and patients.

General Hospital Ogulin

The renovation at Opća bolnica Ogulin includes comprehensive upgrades across five buildings, improving both the building envelope and technical systems. Once completed, the project will deliver significant energy savings and enhance day-to-day comfort.

Key upgrades include:
• Refurbishment of roofs and façades
• Installation of new windows and doors
• Modernisation of heating, cooling, and lighting systems
• Long-term improvements to energy performance and functionality

General Hospital Virovitica

At Opća bolnica Virovitica, Resalta is delivering a full renovation of four older hospital buildings. The project scope includes building envelope upgrades and mechanical system improvements, alongside the temporary removal and reinstallation of an existing solar PV system to enable roof works.

Project documentation is already 85 percent complete, with construction expected to begin by late summer 2025.

Planned improvements include:
• Roof, façade, and window refurbishment
• Heating, cooling, and lighting upgrades
• Improved comfort, energy efficiency, and operational resilience

A shared goal: Smarter, more sustainable public infrastructure

Both projects are part of Resalta’s growing portfolio of building retrofit solutions, tailored for public-sector institutions across Europe.

We thank all municipal, healthcare, and institutional partners for their continued trust in making healthcare facilities more energy efficient, future-ready, and comfortable for those who rely on them every day.

Stay tuned.
