Situation before the contract and client requirements

  • The energy audit of Gorenje identified significant savings potential in the compressed air station in Velenje.
  • The client decided to go ahead with the project with Resalta.

Resalta solution

The renovation of the compressed air station was an extensive project comprising the installation of two new compressors, the construction of a new building for compressed air dryers with adequate ventilation and a complete overhaul of the compressed air piping to reduce pressure drops.

One of two new compressors is equipped with frequency control of motor revolutions to ensure efficient production of compressed air, and both compressors have an integrated heat exchanger that enables for their heat to be recovered: it is used for heating the central sanitary water reservoir and several other areas.
