Situation before the contract and client requirements

The InfraSUN pilot plant at the institute serves as a research facility to demonstrate and test emerging advanced solar thermal technologies.

It is based on the integration of innovative high-efficiency vacuum tube heat pipe collectors, and advanced small-scale adsorption chillers.

Resalta solution

Resalta provided solutions in solar technologies and cooling. In order to improve the overall energy efficiency of the system, a heat recovery system was installed.

Resalta implemented one of the most advanced energy projects in Slovenia - the exploitation of solar energy to cool the interior space of the building using an adsorption cooling device.

The vacuum heat pipe solar thermal collectors and adsorption chiller have been in operation since July 2014.
