KLS Ljubno Battery Energy Storage System - Slovenia

Project statistics

Sector: Industrial – Manufacturing
Location: Ljubno, Slovenia
Technology: Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
Power: 345 kW
Storage Capacity: 699 kWh
Delivery Model: Turnkey

Situation before

As industrial companies continue to increase the share of on-site renewable energy, battery storage is becoming an important component of modern energy infrastructure.

Having previously invested in three rooftop solar PV systems with a combined installed capacity of 2.33 MW, KLS Ljubno decided to further optimise its energy system by integrating battery storage.

Resalta Solution

Resalta delivered a turnkey Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with an output of 345 kW and a total storage capacity of 699 kWh.

The project included engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning and integration of the battery system into the site's existing energy infrastructure.

The new BESS complements the existing solar PV installations, enabling more efficient management of locally generated renewable electricity while increasing operational flexibility and supporting a more resilient energy system.

Key elements of our solution

  • Turnkey delivery of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
  • 345 kW output power
  • 699 kWh storage capacity
  • Integration with the existing on-site energy infrastructure
  • Engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning

Results

  • Battery storage successfully integrated into the site's energy system
  • Increased flexibility in the use of on-site renewable electricity
  • Enhanced energy resilience for industrial operations
  • Expanded the site's existing renewable energy infrastructure

Strategic Relevance

Battery Energy Storage Systems are becoming an increasingly important part of industrial energy strategies, helping companies make better use of locally generated renewable electricity while increasing operational flexibility.

The KLS Ljubno project demonstrates how battery storage can build on existing renewable energy investments to create a smarter, more resilient and future-ready energy system.
