Terme Čatež, Aquapark Žusterna – Slovenia

Project statistics

Situation before the contract and client requirements

The hotel Aquapark Žusterna faced high energy expenses and an obsolete heating system that needed renovation.

The swimming pool waste water was being sent directly to sewage.

The client wanted to reduce energy and water expenses, become energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The hotel had to operate without interruptions.

Resalta solution

Installation of combined high (CHP) and low (heat pump) temperature system equipment in a boiler room which is connected to a central control system.

For filtrating swimming pool waste water, Resalta implemented an ultrafiltration solution and connected the system to the existing swimming pool installations.

The combined three solutions implemented were:

  • Cogeneration (CHP): 40 kWe
  • Heat Pump: 270 kW
  • Ultrafiltration: 3 m3/h
